There’s nothing wrong with women (or men) getting excited about Autumn. In fact, the more I see comments online from individuals who hate the Leaves Changing, Pumpkin Spice, and Halloween Decoration posts - the more I realize people have been conditioned to hate on everything that brings others joy.
How often do we see the “Basic Bitch” label thrown at the girls getting their pumpkin spice latte?
I have to ask the question, Why?
Are we really triggered that someone enjoys the clothes, flavors, and season between Summer and Winter? Sure, there’s a bias here as I’m someone who is a fan of zip-up hoodies and shorts; Fall is fantastic, and if I’m wrong for saying that, then I don’t want to be right.
What I want to know is why everyone hates everything, and hopefully, within this piece, I can remind you to stop being a sucker stuck in the flow of everyone else’s opinion.
The bandwagon isn’t always heading somewhere you want to go.
Enjoy Your Season
Let the people who enjoy this season have their fun while they can.
Hell, I like the pumpkin coffee flavors out there, too; No joke, I grabbed my wife and I a sugar-free Pumpkin Spice iced coffee yesterday.
Getting upset at these low-level moments in life is not only a waste of time, it’s also a continuation of your isolation from the world. That may sound extreme, but think about it, “At what point did you start getting upset at the basic white girls going for their pumpkin coffee with their Burberry scarves?”, when you think about it, why do you continue to search for and find more reasons to be upset when there are so many better things you could be spending your time thinking about?
I’m confident that it wasn’t until the internet and/or TV started making fun of the ‘Hoes of Fall’ that you started to care; meaning you are the conformist here as you never had a problem until someone told you to.
