Centimeters Away from Chaos
The Near-Loss of Donald Trump's Life, and the Impact A Successful Assassination Would Have Had on Our Nation
We must imagine the chilling feeling we would have experienced if we saw a bullet strike the head of our president in front of our very eyes on live television.
The shock and horror would have gripped us as we watched the former President (and current Presidential candidate) of our country fall victim to the increasing violence and chaos that has been gripping our nation for the past few years.
The worst part is that many on the left would have celebrated this, knowing they finally held all the power they wanted, and it would have been a major turning point for the Republicans in a negative direction.
After years of taking the higher road while refusing to resort to the mass violence and uprisings tactics utilized by the left, the right would have hit its breaking point.
The assassination of Donald Trump would have been the final straw; it would have been the spark that ignited a massive and deadly backlash against the left.
The anger and frustration over this heinous act would have boiled over into riots and protests, deadly responses, and it would have the makings of a legitimate American civil war, and that is what the current administration would want.
The demonstrations that followed an assassination would have made Trump supporters, Republicans, and anyone associated with “the right” appear as the "bad guys" that the left has been saying they were for years. This would have further perpetuated the narrative that they must be controlled and have their rights taken away, specifically guns, freedom of speech, and any platforms of influence.
This crackdown would give more motivation for the left to tighten their grip on the country, using totalitarian tactics to silence any opposition.
With Donald Trump gone, the right wing of the political spectrum would have become vulnerable and scattered; with Biden and the left in full control, they would have free reign to implement their agenda for the next four years and the foreseeable future — it's a terrifying thought but was mere centimeters away from becoming our reality.
The image of a bullet piercing the head of our former President broadcasted in 4K to millions, is enough to send shivers down anyone's spine. Yet, this was what many on the left have admitted to being disappointed in not seeing.
To anyone thinking I’m being dramatic, some people are sharing the message that they’re upset the shooter missed; these Americans are mad that an American Husband, Father, and Politician was not shot in the head live on television.
That’s fucking disgusting.
We must not let this near-miss escape our minds.
We must reflect on the disturbing possibility of what we almost witnessed and use it as a reminder to never take our democracy for granted. We must recognize the power and influence of our actions, both as individuals and as a society.
Let us not forget the consequences of violent and divisive rhetoric and the importance of coming together as a nation. The past year's events have shown us that we are only as strong as our unity, and only by standing together can we overcome our challenges.
The world outside of the United States of America doesn’t care what happens to this country; they aren’t coming to save us; in fact, the assassination of Donald Trump may have opened doors to other countries capitalizing on the moment to become more aggressive in their anti-American efforts.
But it didn’t happen (not yet at least), and I hope never to see an event like this again.
Let's learn from this close call and work towards a more united and peaceful future, where we can have a different opinion without thinking that opposing ideas mean the person with them is nothing but opposition. Let us use our voices and actions to build a better world for ourselves and our children. And let us never forget the day we almost saw the head of our nation's leader be blown away in front of our eyes.
The violent timeline above was avoided by the slight turn of a head, that was it, millimeters…
